About Me
through a brief gaze
I am a Kurdish woman with roots in Dersim/ North Kurdistan, born and raised in the German diaspora.
My name, Bakış, means gaze in Turkish.
And it’s more than my name – it’s the way I move through the world. Growing up between cultures, languages and perspectives shaped my passion for education, creativity and community building.

Why GAZE IN?
Because learning is not only about knowledge. It’s about curiosity, creativity and connection.
GAZE IN invites you to look inward and outward – embracing both simplicity and complexity with curiosity and courage. It is a space where personal and collective experiences meet.
My transcultural work combines education, psychosocial practice, movement, creative projects, and community building. Through an interdisciplinary and intersectional approach, GAZE IN offers counselling, workshops, facilitation, and collaborative projects in English, German and Turkish. From core programs and workshop series to community initiatives and personal development formats – every offering is designed to encourage meaningful engagement and lasting transformation.
GAZE IN is not only about gaining knowledge and skills – it is about developing awareness and creating new possibilities.

Avesta Studio
For over ten years, I have been creating projects at the intersection of art, education, culture, and community.
AVESTA STUDIO is the creative hub of GAZE IN – a place for the projects from our network, for new collaborations, and interdisciplinary exchange. It connects people, ideas, and resources, creating room for experimentation and new perspectives.
What defines my work:
Sensitivity to people. Curiosity for processes.
Our studio works with artists, creatives, entrepreneurs, organizations, and communities to develop thoughtful concepts shaped around their needs, contexts, and visions.
At its heart is an evolving network of multi-skilled professionals and independent creators. Each remains autonomous, while shared knowledge, resources, and perspectives open up space for mutual support and meaningful exchange.
AVESTA STUDIO believes in making ideas tangible. As long as you stay curious and creative, a lot is ‚doable’.
Rates
Accessibility, transparency, and social equity are central to my practice.
To keep my work low-barrier and ethical, I offer accessible sliding-scale rates for individuals and community spaces, as well as regular rates for institutions and funded events.
